The latter will produce an extensive new line of bridesmaid dresses. "Our brand enjoys high awareness and preference among young women, so adding bridesmaid dresses to our portfolio is a natural line extension for us." Perhaps there will finally be dresses that hold up beyond the big day: Laundry is prominently merchandised on the main floor of department stores including Bloomingdale's.

Agreement in Principle Signed
NEW YORK, Sep 20, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Building upon its remarkable success in women's day and evening dresses and sportswear, Laundry by Shelli Segal is extending its brand to include a full collection of Bridesmaid dresses. A new entity, owned and operated by Andy Buchbinder and Brett Levkoff, currently with Bill Levkoff, Inc., will design, manufacture and sell a full collection of Bridesmaid dresses under the Laundry by Shelli Segal name.
The collection will launch to the trade in October 2004 and will be available in specialty bridal boutiques across the United States beginning January 2005.
